202

Over on Karin the Hook she shows you how she
made a blocking board for blocking her crochet...
strangely enough I had just bought a 'board' myself
I saw on a blog where they sold what looked like
a solid foam mat that joined to make it larger
for jumpers etc & I remembered my sister
bought similar solid rubber foam boards/mats
for the bathroom floor to stop slipping... so off
I went & bought one...

When I saw Karin was using a paper pattern
to get the right size for her crocheted squares...
I thought about measuring my board up...
here, I've marked it at 5cm intervals but maybe
later I will have to add closer lines... we will
see as time goes on...
Ohh my board is 23"/58cm square... the pins
go into really easy...

While OWOH has been going I have still been
doing some crochet... nothing finished so they
are all WIPs...

I also made a couple more butterfly & flower
garlands for my one of my daughters for pressies...

Angel Messages...
Do you spend your time reminiscing about the past,
or worrying about the future?

what do you use a blocking board for...My X MIL was the queen of crochet...knew all the stitches, could make everything under the sun...I never once saw her use a board for anything.
CURIOUS!!!
